as soon as you're born, they make you feel small!
and then wear you down until you're nothing at all
a good little girl or boy sitting at the stand
forced silent unless you first raise your hand

children are not meant to be slaves
and yet you tore them from the void and let them experience pain
just because they came from their loins doesn't mean they belong to anyone
but to you, if they don't reproduce, they may as well not be your son

we are not trophies to put on shelves
the only person who can decide who they want to be is themselves
no obligation, no reason to carry on a prideless family name
so the fruit of their efforts can be tortured the same

so may your vinery run dry and stale
and may what's forgotten be your tired old war tales
