there is a hole where my heart should be
filled with cement
and it’s weighing me down

sometimes I want to disappear
to be anywhere other than here
but I don’t even know where
“here” is supposed to be

I wish I could be more successful at everything I do
but sometimes it feels like I’m destined
to be stuck forever at the bottom of the curve

“disappointment” is a strong word
but today is awfully cloudy
