my phone probably wouldn’t like it
barely held together by a hundred different syncing programs
how will I ever safeguard myself now?

a digital immortality will be all of our fates
encryption keys forgotten, cabbage sitting for eternity
the temporal does not cross over into the aether

not to mention it would be highly suspicious
if I disappeared off the face of the earth
I already have problems with authority
don’t need the police bursting through my front door

but you have to admit, there is something romantic
in not being constantly available
if we forget to set up a next meeting, we might lose each other forever
