  1. # vim's simple tomato sauce

  4. this portion is enough for 1 single dish. adjust
  5. to your needs based on this info.
  6. ## ingredients
  7. 1. 2 tomatoes (I had some that were just about to go bad)
  8. 2. dry rosemary
  9. 3. dry oregano
  10. 4. ground black pepper
  11. 5. salt
  12. 6. sugar
  13. 7. apple cider vinegar
  14. 8. water
  15. 9. olive oil
  16. ## preparation
  17. 1. cut your tomatoes in chunks and add them to a blender.
  18. 2. cover the tomatoes in just enough water such that they
  19. are submerged.
  20. 3. add one dessert spoon's worth of sugar, and 1/2 a dessert
  21. spoon's worth of salt to the blender.
  22. 4. blend the tomatoes until they are completely liquified.
  23. 5. turn on your stove, and pour the blended tomatoes into a pan.
  24. 6. add about 2 & 1/2 tea spoons of olive oil to the pan.
  25. 7. bring the mixture to a boil, and season it with rosemary,
  26. black pepper and oregano to your taste.
  27. 8. stir it around until most of the water has evaporated,
  28. then add a bit of apple cider vinegar to the pan.
  29. 9. stir the sauce to marry all the flavors, and
  30. voila.
